Pay It Now
A New Zealand app that runs its own Layer-2 network. There is no trading fee, only a spread, but moving coins out to a wallet you control costs 1% plus the network fee.
Pay It Now quotes its price inside the app and publishes nothing we can read, so we can’t rank it live. Its published fees are below; the spread is whatever the app shows at the time.
Every fee, start to finish
Every cost between your bank and a wallet you control, in Bitcoin rather than dollars, because buy prices differ. Each fee links to the page Pay It Now publishes it on. The spread is the exception: nobody publishes that, so we measure it against a weighted global spot price.
In plain English
No separate trading fee. The spread sits inside the quoted rate and varies with the market; Pay It Now's own worked example takes NZ$2 from a NZ$100 buy. We use that 2% because the app publishes no price we can read. No separate foreign exchange fee. NZ dollars convert to Bitcoin at the quoted rate, spread included. A manual bank transfer is free. POLi costs up to NZ$3 (typically 1%) and cards NZ$0.50 plus 3%. Moving coins off Pay It Now's own network to a wallet you control costs 1%, plus the Bitcoin network fee, which varies with congestion.
Signing up and verifying your ID usually takes ten minutes and is a one-off. After that a bank transfer clears the same day, often within the hour, and your Bitcoin is bought the moment it lands.
Once bought you can withdraw on-chain to a wallet you control. Expect a small network fee and a wait of ten minutes to an hour. We recommend doing that rather than leaving Bitcoin on any exchange.
Against the other NZ exchanges
Same NZ$100, same minute. The difference is how much Bitcoin you’d gain or lose by buying there instead of here.
