Swyftx
An app-first Australian exchange that also takes NZ dollars, with hundreds of coins beyond Bitcoin.
Buying here instead of Stacked Bitcoin costs you about 0.00002041 BTC per NZ$100 today.
Every fee, start to finish
Every cost between your bank and a wallet you control, in Bitcoin rather than dollars, because buy prices differ. Each fee links to the page Swyftx publishes it on. The spread is the exception: nobody publishes that, so we measure it against a weighted global spot price.
In plain English
How far Swyftx’s buy price sits above the weighted global spot price. No exchange publishes this, so we measure it: it is the gap between what a Bitcoin costs on the world market and what they charge for one. A negative figure means they are below spot. 0.6% at the standard tier, down to 0.1% with 30-day volume. NZ dollars are a base currency at Swyftx, so nothing is converted to buy Bitcoin. Bank transfers are free. Card deposits can cost up to 2.4%. Swyftx passes on the Bitcoin network fee only, with no charge of its own. We read the current figure from their public asset list. All told, NZ$100 is worth 0.00069453 BTC at the world market price and 0.00066494 BTC lands in your wallet, so 0.00002959 BTC goes in costs: 4.26% all-in.
Signing up and verifying your ID usually takes ten minutes and is a one-off. After that a bank transfer clears the same day, often within the hour, and your Bitcoin is bought the moment it lands.
Once bought you can withdraw on-chain to a wallet you control. Expect a small network fee and a wait of ten minutes to an hour. We recommend doing that rather than leaving Bitcoin on any exchange.
Against the other NZ exchanges
Same NZ$100, same minute. The difference is how much Bitcoin you’d gain or lose by buying there instead of here.
